Blogging Revisited

It has been too long since I have blogged. Like most things, you just have to make time. All of the wonderful activities that occurred in DeBordieu, Georgetown, and Pawleys Island this past weekend are simply too good not to share. So more folks can enjoy the many events and activities that our area offers, I will make an attempt to create a calendar with the dates and times so you can participate if you are in the the area. It goes without saying that we were blessed with gorgeous fall weather and temps in the 70's to enjoy all of this.

Within the last four days, DeBordieu enjoyed its annual "creek night", a wonderful event celebrating the appreciation we all have for our creeks and inlet and enjoyed the bounty that came from our local waters. A great opportunity for food and fellowship. In addition, the DeBordieu Club golf course was busy with two concurrent golf tournaments, The Club Championship and The Presidents Cup. At Pawleys Island, Brookgreen Gardens hosted their annual Fall Festival. A weekend long event in which the nations largest outdoor sculpture garden celebrates fall with events, tours, and music. Just down the road, the City of Georgetown hosted the 20th Annual Wooden Boat Show. A showcase of both wooden boat building and boat restoration, the streets were filled with people enjoying the many gleaming boats and the boat race at the end of the day.

Between now and the end of the year their will be more opportunities to enjoy the many events our area hosts. I will keep you posted!
